Characteristics
The CA Quail is grey and plump.
It has a plume on its head a black face with one white stripe under its plume and under its beak.

Consumer
The California Quail eat seeds , grains ,fruits ,nuts , insects, leafs , fresh shoots , and berries. Its short beak helps it eat seeds off a broad leaf .
Habitat
The California Quail live in the Woodlands , Grasslands , Canyons , Foothills ,or at the edge of deserts. They mostly live in a spot with a lot of bushes.

Facts
In a day they can lay 10-16 eggs.
Some people eat the CA Quail,they hunt or buy them in a farm raised Quail.They have a lot of protein. A group of Quails are called coveys. scientific name Callipepla.
